Protect your privacy and stay safe during the job search process. Be cautious when you send information to unknown sources, and also verify authenticity of job postings or offers. We strongly recommend that you do not include personal or sensitive information in your resume, or in interviews, such as:
- Social Insurance Number
- Age, marital status or birth date
- Driver’s license number
- Health card number
- Banking or financial information (credit card or bank account numbers, personal ID, money deposits)
This information may be discussed with a prospective employer only after the hiring process has begun. If a job posting seems questionable ,please do not hesitate to contact the job site where you found it. If you suspect that you may be a target of fraud, or if you have already sent funds, report it.
